This is the first page of my "fake" journal. To see an explanation of what it's all about, and to see more of the journal, see http://flatmickeyIFJM.blogspot.com
Hi Mickey, first visit to your blog, took the link from Flat Mickey's journal over at WC. Wow! The artist gene must run in your family. You and Joan both floor me with your lovely watercolors.
Thanks for your comment on my IFJM post. To answer your question, yes I am working with my non-dominant hand and it has been a real learning experience. I find that writing is much more difficult than the drawing, which is interesting. Also, 'things' seem to work better for me than landscape. Anyway it's been fun. I'm very new to watercolor so still am tentative and learning the ropes. This has been a good way for me to not worry about what I'm doing and just splash some paint around. But working on binder paper is a REAL challenge! Hope your arm heals soon...I'm enjoying Flat Mickey's exploits!
I am a watercolor artist living in New Jersey. I am a member of the North East Watercolor Society, the New Jersey Watercolor Society, and several local and internet art organizations through which I exhibit my paintings. My favorite subjects are close focused florals and landscapes. I've recently begun teaching a beginning watercolor class at our local senior center.

Thanks, Margo. Yes, all of my siblings seem to have the artist gene.
