Lots of Yellow Tulips

I've worked on this one on and off for several months while I was more focused on sketchbooks and journals, but I finally completed it yesterday. Originally I had planned on a dark background, but I really like the way the tulips look on the light background too much. I think it has a delicacy that I would not be able to keep with a dark background. This was done from a photo I took at the Philadelphia Flower Show two years ago. 15x22

This is gorgeous! I've never worked on anything this large (unless you count quilts - LOL).

Your flat Mickey looks like a fun idea - I may have to look into participating next year (good to have 11 months to think about it!).

This is gorgeous Michelle. Yes, the light background seems to enhance the light cool spring air feel.

Meeting up with Joan was truly fun this year. I hope next time I get to see you too.

Beautiful...my problem is never knowing when I'm 'finished!'

Thanks, Cheryl! Oh, I wish I could make quilts. No patience. LOL

Thanks, Ai. I hope I get to see you next time too.

Thanks, Dawn. I told myself out loud that I was finished several times, and still added a touch here and there before I made myself walk away. It's hard to leave it alone sometimes.

Beautiful job!!! I like the softness of the background. It makes the tulips pop even more.
