Continuing with the May journal. I received a beautiful Mother's Day bouquet from my daughter Karen, which was the subject for both of these sketches, and hopefully more to come.
Michelle, all these watercolors are so lovely. Nice color work. I'm from Strathmore. I'm following you here and hope you'll drop by my blog. Would love it if you follow there. Helps me to remember who to check back on.

So pretty! I especially like the single rose. I've been meaning to add the ones my son gave me to my journal but haven't gotten a chance. I'd better do it while they are still living, LOL.
Thanks, Coleen and toadinaboat. I never considered myself a "journaller", but a watercolor painter who sometimes used a sketchbook. I'm really trying to get more into journalling this year.
Your sketching and water colouring is wonderful. I also had a look at the fake journal blog, I enjoyed this to. Your very talented and I hope to see you back at my blog again soon thanks for commenting
These are lovely. I wish I had your patience to paint flowers. My son fixed a mother's day dinner and it was my favorite, crab legs. What a mess I made trying to paint them in my journal :O)
I am a watercolor artist living in New Jersey. I am a member of the North East Watercolor Society, the New Jersey Watercolor Society, and several local and internet art organizations through which I exhibit my paintings. My favorite subjects are close focused florals and landscapes. I've recently begun teaching a beginning watercolor class at our local senior center.

Beautiful pages. The rose is really amazing, and so is the vase.
Michelle, the boquet is beautiful but the single captured my heart. Such a beautiful work.
