Great texture, I assume, that's the paper?

Yes, the paper is wet and crumpled, and then flattened out to paint on. The paint seeps into the cracks and makes an interesting "batik-like" texture. Then the masa paper is adhered to a piece of watercolor paper for strength.

Pretty Michelle! Don't you love the unpreditable texture? It's a nice change, but don't give up your traditional style. I love the way you paint! SUSIE

Thanks, Susie! I definitely won't give up my traditional style. I like using masa a few times a year, and experiment with some other stuff occasionally, but I love painting flowers traditionally to ever give that up.
