Love and Peace

It's SWAP group time again, and this is the painting I did for the swap. This time it didn't go far, as my partner Christine is from New York. I grow these "Love and Peace" roses in my backyard. The painting is 5x7.

Michelle,

Wow... the rose is so dreamy and sweet. The swapped buddy will definitely be thrilled to receive this. Super work.

Very pretty. I am glad to know what the name for them is.

Thanks, Myrna, Joan, Ai, and Jeanne.

"Love and Peace" is a hybrid of "Peace" and something else which they don't specify. The yellows and reds are a a bit darker, and not as subtle as "Peace".

I've grown Peace Roses before and just love their warm colors. This is a beautiful hybrid of those. Your treatment of them is just great with the subtle value shift between the background and flower.
